Missouri Requirements Complete

XpertHR is on track to have all 50 states and the District of Columbia by the end of July. We are completing states on a rolling basis until then and are now up to 35 states with the completion of Missouri this week.

Our Missouri Employment Law Coverage

XpertHR covers the complete spectrum of labor and employment law for Missouri employers. For example, did you know:

  • Supervisors and co-employees can be held individually liable for hostile work environment claims under the Missouri Human Rights Act.
  • The Missouri Commission on Human Rights cautions employers against inquiring about criminal history information which may disproportionately affect members of certain protected groups, and the EEOC has taken the position that information about arrest and/or conviction records may disproportionately exclude members of certain minority groups.
  • Missouri employers must be careful in conducting any monitoring of employee communications. In one case, a court awarded damages to employees even though the employer monitored communications as part of a theft investigation. The employer argued that it told employees that monitoring may occur, but the court held in favor of the employees.

This is but a taste of the depth and breadth provided to our Missouri subscribers!
